David System

Davits System a relatively low cost solution installed permanently on building, either to the roof slab or onto the reinforce concrete parapet wall.

The socket and davits system is a relatively low cost solution installed permanently on building, either to the roof slab or onto the reinforce concrete parapet wall.

1 or 2 davit arms are needed for gondola operation. A single winch cradle requires one davit arm and a two winch cradle requires two davit arms. The davit arm is normally shared with all sockets within the same roof by manual transfer from one socket to the other, therefore the weight of the davit arm is an important criteria in the design the davit arm.

MHE-Demag’s provide 2 range of Davits arm product. The steel davits arm and the lightweight aluminium davits arms system.

We recommend a maximum 2.5m outreach for ground launch operation with a low profile davit arm. Should we need to offer a high profile davit arm to roof launch the gondola cradle, the davit arm outreach should not be more than 1.8m.
